Breastfeeding Support

Breastfeeding isn't always as easy as we'd imagined.  Sometimes issues arise that make breastfeeding difficult, painful, or challenging for the parent, the baby, or both!  Seeking the support of a well trained IBCLC to find the root problem or even to ease your worries, is the first place to start.  Sarah is also the collaborating IBCLC with Duke's Cleft and Craniofacial Team.  Check both Sarah and Madison's schedules for availability and consider calling or text the LATCH Line to add your name to the cancellation list.

We accept most major insurances

Cigna

MedCost

Aetna

United Healthcare

BCBS Federal

TRICARE East (in network with prime and select, no referral needed for either)

NC Medicaid and all it's privatized entities

BCBS of NC

A credit or debit card on file is required to hold your time slot, and will only be charged if you are a no show for your appointment, or if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice.  We will collect and file insurance on your behalf for your visit(s).  LATCH treats both mother and baby as separate patients, so please include all policy information for both.  Lactation visits are generally covered by most insurance policies.  Baby's visits may occasionally incur a deductible/copay/cost share portion that you will be invoiced for.

You would benefit from the support of an IBCLC if you or your baby are experiencing any of the following:

-painful nursing

-cracked bleeding nipples

-weight gain concerns for baby

-sleepy baby

-"lazy" nurser or a baby who "snacks a lot"

-thrush

-colic

-reflux

-possible allergies/elimination diet concerns

-low supply

-returning to school or work

-nipple shield use

-exclusive pumping

-pumping to supplement

-weaning

-introduction of solids

...and more!

IBCLCs are uniquely trained to assist the breastfeeding parent and the baby as a whole.  We are the only profession that sees the pair as one and treats you as such.  We are also trained on other forms and varieties of feeding methods and you are welcome at our clinic regardless of what you feed your baby.  We are here to help!

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice before the appointment, or no shows, will result in a $75 cancellation fee.
