Breastfeeding isn't always as easy as we'd imagined. Sometimes issues arise that make breastfeeding difficult, painful, or challenging for the parent, the baby, or both! Seeking the support of a well trained IBCLC to find the root problem or even to ease your worries, is the first place to start. Sarah is the collaborating IBCLC with Duke's Cleft and Craniofacial Team.
We accept most major insurances
A credit or debit card is required to hold your time slot, and will only be charged if you are a no show for your appointment, or if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice. Otherwise, your insurance will cover the cost of your appointment (less any copays for private insurance holders).
You would benefit from the support of an IBCLC if you or your baby are experiencing any of the following:
-cracked bleeding nipples
-weight gain concerns for baby
-"lazy" nurser or a baby who "snacks a lot"
-possible allergies/elimination diet concerns
-returning to school or work
-nipple shield use
-pumping to supplement
-introduction of solids
IBCLCs are uniquely trained to assist the breastfeeding parent and the baby as a whole. We are the only profession that sees the pair as one and treats you as such. We are also trained on other forms and varieties of feeding methods and you are welcome at our clinic regardless of what you feed your baby. We are here to help!
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice before the appointment, or no shows, will result in a $75 cancellation fee.
